Before I was a mom of three boys and surrounded by all things testosterone, I was a makeup artist. I loved doing makeup, playing with product and helping customers feel their best. Fast forward to living a life that is super busy, I don’t have time for a full-face of makeup, and I’ve always believed that a natural look is your best bet. A look that amplifies your beauty, rather than making you look like someone you aren’t. I’ve found a great, natural routine that allows my skin to breathe, makes my smile brighter than ever with Tom’s of Maine Luminous White Toothpaste, and is quick and easy.

Here are my 4 steps to a beautiful, natural beauty routine:

One: Focus on Glowing Skin and White Teeth

One of the fastest ways to look flawless is to give your skin some great TLC and get those teeth looking white. Switching to more natural products can relieve your skin from toxins and chemicals. One way to do this is to make your own skin moisturizer. There are so many moisturizers out there that are full of crazy ingredients. I like something super simple – coconut oil. Coconut oil is so good for your skin. It’s naturally antibacterial and antifungal, so it will help keep your skin clear, while also giving it the moisture it needs. Many times, our skin is thirsty, which results in dry flakes to build up in our pores. Coconut oil leaves a nice glow to your look, and is a great foundation to the rest of your beauty routine. It is a simple switch you can make that is more natural.

Your teeth are also super important. I switched to a natural toothpaste, Tom’s of Maine Luminous White Toothpaste, which I grabbed at Target. It’s a natural way to whiten your teeth! As a coffee drinker, I get stains that build up. Tom’s of Maine Luminous White Toothpaste is safe on enamel and can whiten teeth in 2 weeks by removing surface stains  . White teeth make such a big difference, and is a great way to brighten your look naturally. The Luminous White toothpaste uses two types of high cleaning silica to gently and safely remove surface stains. And all of the ingredients are naturally derived, unlike conventional whitening toothpastes. As we become more conscious about what we put in and on our bodies, Luminous White toothpaste offers safe, effective whitening with only naturally-derived ingredients that work to remove surface stains for whiter teeth in two weeks. In two weeks you can have a brighter smile, which as a makeup artist, I know how important that is to your overall look. Tom’s of Maine Luminous White contains no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and no animal testing. Plus, it’s gluten free, whoohoo! Make sure to check it out to add to your natural beauty routine!

Second, DIY Your Contour Powder and Highlight Cream:

Making your own contour and highlight palette that is natural and glowing is such a great way to keep your look natural and chemical-free. Cheeks are just as important as teeth. You can make your own contouring powder, or bronzer in about 5 minutes, it’s so easy! Here’s the recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 8 drops orange, lavender or rosemary essential oil

To make your natural highlighter, just mix a tablespoon of coconut oil with a natural, shimmering eye shadow. Start with 1 TBSP of coconut oil and a teaspoon of shadow. Test it on your hand, and see how shimmery it is. Then add more oil or shadow depending on what you are after! Make sure to store both your contour powder and highlight cream in airtight containers.

Focus the highlighter on your forehead, chin, bridge of nose, eyelids, brow bone and upper cheeks. This will brighten you up and make you look more alive!

Contour just below your cheekbone, up your temples and on your hairline to add some color to your skin. A healthy tone is what this will do and bring out those cheekbones!

Third, Bring Out Those Lashes:

When going for a natural look, don’t skip on lashes! Amplifying your lashes will make you look awake and your eyes bigger. I believe in a natural, non-toxic mascara for this. You can attempt to create your own, but that’s difficult. There are a lot of great non-toxic mascaras out there, and it takes personal preference to see which one works for you. I believe each person is so different with mascara! And, because mascara makes such a huge difference, it’s worth buying a product that is well made and non-toxic.

Fourth, Color Correct:

Even with a great skin-care routine and natural products, there will always be those red spots or dark circles that need some attention. For this, to stay natural I suggest a mineral color corrector cream or powder. You don’t need to use much, but it will finish off your look, so you feel great, but still look totally natural. This is totally different than foundation or concealer. These completely cover your natural skin. A color corrector just tones out the redness or darkness under eyes. It’s a light effect, that allows you to be free of makeup, while still having a flawless appearance and letting your natural skin shine through.

These tips will help you leave the house feeling and looking beautiful, with a completely natural routine. Sometimes going more natural helps your skin clear even more, which allows you to wear less and less makeup!

I have a very specialized program for postpartum mamas looking to heal, nourish and regain their strength. I really struggled healing after my first child, and even went through pelvic floor physical therapy for weeks to manage scar tissue that developed from tearing. I have experience studying nutrition, physical therapy and I taught Pilates, so I’ve put together a program I wish I would’ve followed from the beginning.

A program that first heals your body through specialized movements and nourishing foods. Foods are so essential to your body finding the nutrients it needs to put itself back together again. Your postpartum body needs special care in the first 4-6 weeks where you focus on regaining strength and properly fueling your body for breastfeeding.

Here is what one mama emailed me on the program:

“I absolutely love the program! Just got finished with workout 4 and I’m dying😂 I can only do these 2x thru and my second round is pretty funny to see I’m sure😉! I will work up to 3x:-) By the way, your little boy angel in the videos is too precious and makes me smile! My boys have been doing these with me as well🙌🏼!

The information and the eating plan are both fantastic. I was so happy to hear that great waynof calorie counting when nursing! I have gotten my 3 day average and now I’m going to reduce by 100 calories today! Thanks so much!!
I haven’t had a chance to recommend to postpartum moms yet but I will soon!! 😘

Here is what another mama posted in the Facebook Group:

Feeling GREAT on this program!!! It’s unbelievable how eating clean makes such a difference. Let me rephrase that…it’s amazing the difference eating nutrient dense foods makes! My skin is glowing and I’m already shedding pounds! I also tried the first workout today and did well although I had to modify a bit and omit the backwards burpee (I had cesarean just over a month ago and don’t quite feel ready for that exercise just yet but I will get there). Loving this plan! Thank you SO MUCH for tour help! Currently eating pictures lunch while writing this ”

This program then moves you into gaining physical fitness back. I will never forget the first time I tried to go for a run around 12 weeks postpartum after my first baby. I didn’t do any strength work, so I was literally jelly. I had lost all my extra fat and my previous muscle. So depressing. I was barely able to start gaining it back before I got pregnant and sick again with my second. I’ve learned so much on maintaining muscle postpartum through a unique diet and Pilates routines. I walk you through all of this too!

Lastly, I take you into a workout program to combine with a meal plan to help you lose the baby weight, not your milk!! !

Enroll in the course before the price goes up after July 4th!

I created this program to be affordable and realistic for new mams!
