5 Ways To Simplify Your Laundry Situation

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone.  #allfreeclearclean #CollectiveBias My laundry situation can quickly get way out of hand. Our dryer recently decided to have electric problems, which forced me to really think about how I was organizing and managing my laundry situation. It wasn’t great. So, I decided to focus on ways I could simplify all the laundry for three, wild and dirty little boys, plus myself and husband. I have to admit, my own laundry is a lot because I run almost every day, which means I’ve got some smelly clothes to deal with every day. I came up with these 5 steps, which really help me keep things simple, and less intimidating. The laundry pile used to intimidate me, and I would shove the clothes back in the washer, rather than put them away. Here’s what I…

5 Things Your Doctor Doesn’t Tell You at Your 6-Week Postpartum Checkup

I was so nervous for my first, 6-week postpartum check up, and totally shocked by my experiences that followed my check up. I remember getting ready to go in the room, new baby asleep in the car seat and waiting patiently for my doctor to come in. The experience itself was simple, quick and at-fist such a relief. I was given the okay and told everything healed great. What I wasn’t told was so much more. I walked out of there feeling happy that I survived my first birth and recovered by 6-weeks like you are “supposed” too. But, there was so much my doctor didn’t tell me, and some utterly painful experiences I hope to shed some light on, just in case you go through them yourself! First, Healed Doesn’t Mean Normal: When my doctor told me everything healed great, I thought that meant everything was going to feel…

The Best Apps That Pay You To Be Healthy

This post is inspired actually by a movie I started watching with my boys the other day. I found it on Netflix, and long story short, there was an over-weight boy, who was the friend of the main character, and he was using an app to count his steps and earn swag. Ding, ding, omg I wanted that app! I started fantasizing about all the miles I run, now that I started running again after three babies (see how I did it!). Seriously, there are apps that will pay you on your journey to losing the baby weight or just getting in shape. I went on a hunt around the internet world to find that there really are some apps that will reward you for just being healthy. 5 Genius Ways To Escape The Holiday Stress + Rejuvenate

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #MyHolidayEscape #CollectiveBias Holidays can be so joyous, yet so stressful. For me, I like to have some peace and quiet, where I can think and process my day. I love to chat, have fun and enjoy my family and friends, but I also need that quiet space to desensitize myself. When you are a guest at someone else’s house, it’s super difficult to do that because you may not even have your own guest room. Here are some genius ways to escape the crazy and rejuvenate yourself. 1. Take A “Nap”: You can always tell your guests or others that you need a nap. This is where I actually escape with a magazine, like PEOPLE® magazine (my favorite!!), and veg out a minute. No one will bother you if they think you are…

5 Ways To Detox Holiday Meals Away

Sweets are my thing around the holidays. Chocolate covered everything, eggnog in my coffee and cans of whipped cream are basically inhaled. Combine that with the big, family meals and I’ve got myself into a new feeling of full. Not just the stuffed feeling, but the groggy, puffy, bloated for days feeling. It’s not fun, but luckily there are some ways you can detox those holiday meals away. When I say detox, I don’t mean fast. Why You Need A Kids Thanksgiving Table This year

I have lots of memories of Thanksgiving as a child, where we would cozy up on the floor, picnic style near the adults table. It was so fun and comfortable to have our own space, where my cousins and I could laugh and play/eat. The adults had their own space for all that adult talk we weren’t interested in. Because I have such fond memories of our Thanksgiving picnic, I am completely sold on the tradition for my children, and I put together my own kids table for them this year, complete with a full-on coloring table cloth. I NEED them to stay busy for as long as possible, and being that they are 4.5, 3 and 1, I might get 15 minutes out of the whole thing, but sometimes that 15 minutes feels like an hour. First off, a kids table for Thanksgiving is a great place the kids…
