I’m embarking on the home school journey.  At first, I had a sense of urgency mixed with fear that I wouldn’t know what to teach my preschooler, and thus he’d be left behind, not learning what he should. I did some digging in Facebook groups, and I found some other moms to connect with who also home school, and depending on your state, mine was Washington, I had a difficult time finding a state-supplied curriculum. Like, I contacted and emailed school-district officials, who then sent me to sites I’d already visited with very vague resources on curriculum. I don’t know what state you are in, or the state rules, but the purpose of preschool is to prep for Kindergarten. There are a lot of Kindergarten tools out there, which you can use and back-track from. I’m actually planning on getting the A Beka K5 Homeschool set because it was referred to…

Okay, this is the post I wish I read when I first started blogging. When I first started, I was so excited to write, photograph and merge a passion into a business. Writing, marketing and all-things motherhood are basically ho I am at that core. My degree is in Communications, I lived and breathed entrepreneurship in college, and I still have a small web-design and online marketing company that I take select clients for. That being said, I did not set myself up correctly to create a passive income from blogging in the beginning. I’ve solved that problem finally, after 8 months of blogging, and you definitely don’t need to wait that long. This is the only post you need to read to create a blog that increases in traffic and income each month. And no, I didn’t invest in expensive courses to do this. I may do that soon, but…

I started drinking coffee years ago in college, when my roommate introduced me to lattes. She was obsessed with them, so every Sunday morning before church, we would walk to the coffee shop to get our lattes. The weekly love-affair grew to a daily need as life got busy, I had various jobs as a barista, and I basically stopped sleeping as a mom. We all know the importance of our daily cup, but with that also comes some unwanted stains on our teeth. When Smile Brilliant approached me to try their teeth whitening kit, I was super excited. My first thought was, “I want to get rid of these coffee stains!” Then I checked out their site, specifically this page that goes over everything you need to know before buying. They sent me the kit, and the process starts with making your own molds, like at the dentist. My…

Mother’s day is obviously one of my favorite holidays. I am a sun-lover, so as Mother’s Day approaches, I’m usually dying to get outside and enjoy some nice weather. I put together a Mother’s day gift-guide that features some items I love, that are perfect for this summer! First, I have Bootay Bag. This could really be used all year, but in the summer you are wearing breezy, fun dresses, where some nice undies are more essential. After all, their hasthag, #undermatters is so true! The reason I love this is because it’s affordable, only $12 a month! I can do that, and who likes to shop for undies with kids? For me, going underwear shopping with three munchkins isn’t really the most appealing. They sent me a pair for March to try, and I loved it! The undies are super cute, comfortable and a surprise in the bag! Then,…

Mother’s day is just around the corner, and of course we are all looking for the perfect items to get those mamas, who are brand new. Well, this gift guide features items I love, that I recommend buying for any new mamas this spring. Some of these are brands that sent me items to review and use, while others are just one’s that I love, and would recommend as a gift for new moms. Mother’s Day Gift Guide For First-Time Moms: Binxy Baby: I can’t believe I am just now getting one of these. I lugged that car seat around with my first baby everywhere. What was I thinking? This is by far, one of the best inventions. I keep it in the pocket behind the driver’s seat of my van, that way I always have it ready. It clasps on to the sides of the cart very simply, and…

So, I’ve mentioned a few times in my post, I am a new blogger. I am just shy of 6 months blogging very part time. As in, I have a 6 month old baby, two toddler boys, no steady nanny and we’ve moved across country…so let’s just say my blog gets the short-end of the stick when it comes to attention. **EDIT! I signed up without realizing that AdBuff requires an average of 2k pageviews per day. I was able to get the accunt going, insert ads and build some income, then to have them close my account. As of last month, I exceed their requirements, so I am resigning up!  You might also like: My Massive Traffic Boost: 6k to 40k Page views in Two Months Pageview Breakthrough: How I Went from 6k to over 17k in One Month How I Turned $17.99 Into Over $300 With One Blog…

Can I tell you how much I love baby items because they are so soft and cute? The problem for me is that I never want to put my baby in the beautiful items because I’m afraid of blowouts and spit ups. I was super excited when Lorena Canals Rugs offered to send me a complimentary rug to review, and add to our home. I had never heard of these rugs before, but when I took a look at their site, to see if it was a product myself and you, as my readers would be interested in, here’s what I found: These rugs are ALL MACHINE-WASHABLE…this is so awesome because I have two toddler boys and one baby. Enough said there. I also saw that these rugs were picked by Vogue as a top baby product for celebrity nurseries. We all want to be a little celebrity-like don’t we?…

I’ve always been daunted by the idea of building an email list. What will I email them? What do I have to offer that people are interested in? What valuable information can I offer as a freebie incentive? If you want to skip straight to the questions, sign up here! As a new blogger, the task of coming up with an offer that will help other bloggers is hard because we aren’t yet confident in our abilities. Let’s Start Your Blog and Make Money Now By Doing What I Should’ve Done Well, it took me quite some time to craft something. I ran multiple ideas over in my head, and basically, I didn’t put pressure on myself to build an email list right away. With pressure, I was afraid my offer wouldn’t be genuine or just a cheesy attempt to get sign ups. I focused on creating content I loved first. I wrote, and…

Do you know how much laundry we have with two toddler boys and a baby? I can’t tell you how many times I walk outside to find them naked, clothes thrown in the bushes, mud and pool. I wish I could just tape on some underwear and leave it at that. A Tarzan-type attire suites them much better really. Laundry is something I have a very hard time keeping up with. Putting the clothes in the wash is a breeze. Getting them to the dryer in a timely manner is a little more difficult, but I’ve gotten better. Getting them folded to a proper place? Nearly impossible. And sometimes the sheer impossibility is so discouraging. I look at the laundry pile slowly growing larger and larger, and it seems like this massive mountain I have to climb with two toddlers clinging to each leg, and a baby in my arms.…

Instagram, as I’ve said in a couple other posts, is my favorite social media platform because it is aesthetic, and I love photos. Many bloggers see Instagram as another method to build a following and traffic source…which it is, but if that’s all you see it as, you’re missing out on a lot. I’ve just gone over the 1k mark. That’s huge when you are just starting out on Instagram, and I’ve been able to work with large brands like JORD Watches, Smile Brilliant, DockATot, Lillebaby, Finn and Emma and more. I’ve also connected with smaller, local brands to work together, where I’ve either been paid to post, or posted in exchange for the product, depending on the brand’s policies. You don’t have to have a large following for the brands you love to be interested in you. My account is proof! Quick tip on sponsored posts and blogging. Since I wrote…
