Lactation cookies are one of the main reasons I’m able to build and maintain my breast milk supply and I want the same for you!
I have collected what I feel is the simplest lactation cookie recipes and linked to ones that I don’t have here on the blog.
Some of the breastfeeding cookie recipes have brewer’s yeast and some of them don’t have any. Some lactation cookie recipes are no bake and some are standard cookies you mix and bake.

These lactation cookies, healthy, bake, and no-bake, will knock your socks off and give breastfeeding mamas plenty of options to consistently keep their sweet tooth satisfied and milk supply healthy.
Must-Have Lactation Cookie Ingredients for Milk Supply
Typically, lactation cookies are considered lactation cookies when they have the following ingredients:
- Oats either instant rolled or steel cut.
- Brewer’s Yeast (a very helpful tool for lactation)
- Flaxseed
- Fenugreek
These are the easiest ingredients to add to baked goods and create lactation cookie recipes, and these ingredients have been shown (though studies vary and each individual mama varies) to increase milk supply.
I love using Mother’s Milk Tea (amazing!), and my own protein powder Milk Dust – it’s safe and clean and perfect for breastfeeding moms because it boosts your milk supply and supplies important vitamins and nutrients.
Now that you know what milk-making ingredients to include in your lactation cookies, let’s dive into my absolute FAV lactation cookie recipe.
