I’m nursing my third baby now. I’ve finally got the hang of losing the baby weight. While even keeping a tremendous amount of milk supply on board for the little one. I’ve even had a bout of mastitis from over producing, while still losing all the baby weight in about 2 months. Your diet is really key to telling your body its okay to let go of fat, while also providing the nutrients to produce the liquid gold your baby needs. If you are looking for a quick way to increase your milk supply, while not consuming extra calories, I highly recommend Fenugreek. I’ve used it a few ways, but the drinkable versions worked best for me. I also found this resource amazing in helping understand breastfeeding, and how to keep up a healthy supply. I am a firm believer in a nutrient-dense, breastfeeding diet, which is why I created…

Update: See how I lost the baby weight by six weeks! I lost all the baby weight fairly quickly mostly because I stayed healthy and active during pregnancy, but not because of my postpartum workout. I’m finally getting this post up! Things with two toddlers and a newborn are more than busy. Its a straight-up balancing act. I’m chasing a naked two-year-old around with the newborn in one arm, a stuffed red dog under my other arm, a sippy cup in one hand and a diaper in the other. Total chaos. At other times, I’m sitting on the couch staring off, while ALL THREE BOYS ARE SLEEPING. I’m afraid to move. I know it won’t last…or will it? What should I do? What do I need to do? I had a list of things somewhere didn’t I???! My mother-in-law also just arrived, who is absolutely fabulous. She is the sweetest version of Paula Dean, cooking and all. This leaves very little time for any sort of post-partum fitness. The key is to choose very wisely what you do in the very few moments you have.…
Summer and pregnant don’t go well together. The summer heat has a tendency to blow pregnant women right up and attach water to every toe and finger. Attractive. This is my second pregnancy, where I’m quite big by the time August hits. It’s hot, and I’m stuck waddling around with a big belly, wishing I was lounging with a mohito. I do have some tricks I’ve found that work for me to minimize swelling, so my feet and hands don’t scare my kids. I’ve never seen a list out there with these specific tips, so I’m hoping it’s some new information pregnant mamas can try. Number one is mentioned in most lists, but i take it up a notch. Swelling is very common, and a lot of it depends on your genetics, but these really helped me! And I know because this is my third time around the block. If…
In my third trimester with my third pregnancy, I am LONGING to feel light, active and free again! I am waddling around after my two boys at awkward paces and sitting down more than usual. I attempted a kayaking adventure with Jack, the littlest one, but trying to paddle with him on my lap, leaning sideways on my belly put us in circles. I daydream of when I will be able to hold my little bundle in my arms and start moving about as normal, BUT, I NEVER long for the body I used to have. I’m calling BS on the whole “get your body back after baby” pressure. Why would you want to go backwards, after your body has given you so much?! Pushing your body to be something it was, fixating on how you used to look ignores all we have achieved as mothers. Our bodies have performed…
