The temperatures are on the rise as summertime quickly approaches. Just because you’re pregnant or nursing does not mean you have to miss out on some refreshing mocktails during these summer months. Whether for special occasions like a baby shower or just looking to enjoy a delicious mocktail on a hot summer day, we have some great, easy mocktail recipes just for you.
Summer mocktails are not only a tasty treat for your taste buds but a great way to stay hydrated and get some extra vitamin C from fresh fruit. Mocktails are also an excellent idea for the entire family. They are a fun, delicious drink and a great option after a strenuous day or while playing in the sun. We all know too much alcohol consumption is harmful, so why not serve Dad some mocktails in place of the real thing?
don’t forget to serve your favorite non-alcoholic drinks in some fun glassware like tall glasses or a martini glass. In this article, we’ll dive into some easy mocktails for pregnant ladies, nursing mamas, and even some fun ones for expectant dads and siblings.
Let’s start with some sweet, healthy mocktails that incorporate the perfect balance of fruit, juices, and water. A definite crowd pleaser is a sangria. Grape juice is a great alternative to wine when making a non-alcoholic version of sangria.
The great thing about sangrias is you can make them in advance, increase the quantity for larger parties, and they are great for brunches, weddings, tea parties, and summer get-togethers. Here’s a great recipe to get you started. Feel free to get creative and make different sangria drink recipes by incorporating different fruits and juices.

Don’t forget, when you’re out at a restaurant, you can always request a virgin Moscow mule, Shirley Temple, or a Pina Colada. You can also make some great pregnancy mocktails with coconut milk, coconut cream, and pineapple juice. You can also purchase non-alcoholic spirits from your local liquor store.
Pregnant women will experience many cravings, so why not get creative and make your own perfect blend? Also, if you’re experiencing morning sickness in those early months or have an upset stomach, a simple lemon-lime soda or ginger ale will help elevate those symptoms.
Let’s switch gears and discuss a savory, non-alcoholic cocktail recipe. One of my favorites is the Bloody Mary topped with all the fresh ingredients you can get your hands on. The best part about Bloody Marys is that you can customize them with your favorite snacks. There are lots of fun recipe ideas you can find on social media.
You can create a salad on top or add a slice of maple syrup flavored bacon, cheese cubes, pickles, etc. I’ve even seen a cheeseburger slider on top of a Bloody Mary. The options are endless. I’ve included for you one of my favorite recipes. It’s a little more labor-intensive than the sweet cocktails mentioned before. But it is so worth it.

For nursing moms, check with your doctor about indulging in an occasional alcoholic beverage. The good news is some studies have shown that having a known safe amount of alcohol is ok, but with these tasty mocktails you won’t even want to bother with the alcohol! You can also purchase breast milk alcohol test strips online as well.
