Affiliate marketing is one of the number one ways bloggers earn money. So, as a new blogger here, I did my research, and I read tons of income-report posts, like I’m sure many of you are doing. When you’re new to blogging, everything is overwhelming. I will never forget when I first signed up for ShareASale, and I was so confused at the layout and what seemed like a million options…then I had to think of a post to write about something on the site???

How I Got My First Viral Pin

I still haven’t gotten anything set up with ShareASale, and I still don’t get it. To be frank, as a new blogger with an actual business plan, who’s done tons of research, it’s just not a place I am going to spend a lot of time on as an income stream. To me, that’s going to be a very small income stream as traffic continues to grow, and I continue to write about what I love, being a mom.

In order to find the highest paying affiliates, the ones where I make way more per click, and ones I actually like, I just devoured income reports. I looked at reports with small numbers and ones with big numbers. This way, I could determine that my energy was best spent on a high-paying affiliate link. After discovering that Bluehost was one of the highest paying affiliates I was so excited!! I was a web designer and online marketer before turning to blogging, and I love Bluehost. They really are a great company with awesome hosting deals you can advertise to anyone wanting to start a blog or develop their own website. So, here is a product I truly know very well and enjoy, and it offers the highest pay out for affiliate links. As a part of my business plan for my blog. affiliate links are just a very small income stream that will develop overtime. I don’t want my readers to feel like every link I give is a way to make myself money, but this is a great one! I also want to direct anyone who is starting a blog in the best direction, and Bluehost is truly the way to go.

So, what’s their pay system? How much money do you make as an affiliate for Bluehost?

Here’s the break down:

As a Bluehost affiliate, you may accrue a one-time referral fee for each purchase of a hosting account that you refer to Bluehost that meets the definition of a “Qualified Purchase” and the requirements set forth herein. A “Qualified Purchase” is the purchase of Bluehost’s hosting services by a new and unique customer who: (i) clicks on an affiliate tracking link, (ii) completes the signup process within ninety (90) days of clicking on the affiliate tracking link, (iii) maintains an active account with Bluehost for a minimum of ninety (90) days; and (iv) did not transfer from a Bluehost partner or related company.

So, you get paid when someone clicks, signs up and stays with the company for 90 days. You get paid $65 per bounty. Here’s what the website says just to be clear for you:

How It Works

Simply promote Bluehost on your website with custom banners and links. For every visitor who clicks through these links and signs up, your receive $65. Help others learn why Bluehost is so great. The more you do so, the more you make!

As a new blogger, here’s what I can tell you. This is where all the other bloggers are making most of their affiliate income, or a large portion of it. And, the company is completely worth promoting. I know because I’ve built websites and managed websites with them for years. So, you can feel comfortable with what you are promoting.

The sign up process is super easy. You just provide some information and create an affiliate account. Then, its up to you to place the ads and banners where you would like them. I have one in my side bar, and a few on this post, which suggests Bluehost to moms looking to start a blog. I love it for those just starting because it has a one-click WordPress Install. You don’t want to know how I was installing WordPress on sites back in the day. It wasn’t fun. So, this new feature makes me very happy.

Here’s some of the banners you can put in your site:

These are just three I like, and they look fairly clean and professional, which is something I really make a priority. I can’t stand a blog with a ton of messy banners and ads popping up all over. To me that just screams desperate for clicks. These are nice ads that can be strategically placed where you think your readers will see it, but not be turned off by it. That’s up to you as the blogger and knowing your audience.

So, I encourage all the new bloggers out there, looking to start monetizing to sign up with Bluehost as an affiliate. Its really worth your time because the payout is so much higher per sign up. You will have to write some posts on why you love it to get some traffic and clicks, but that is easy to do when you know about the product, and you would naturally refer someone to it. If you don’t feel comfortable referring your audience, use my name. Say a web designer told you to refer everyone because its a great company.
