I was introduced to Venndy by another blogger, which then transpired into loving the brand-spanking-new sharing platform, and thus writing this post to share with others out there! *this post is sponsored, and all opinions and experiences are my own!

Let’s Go Over Venndy Quick:

In my opinion, Venndy is specifically set up for bloggers, but it can also be used as a sharing platform for anyone savvy with social media. This is a place to continue telling your story. A sharing network, where you can promote and recommend those beloved items you can’t stop blogging about. Particularly useful for fashion, beauty and lifestyle bloggers, I’ve also been sharing a lot of my lose-the-baby-weight posts in their Fitness section. My summer closet favorites are also linked up too. Where Venndy offers a uniqueness is in the contextual sharing, which will allow your products/stories to be in front of a more defined and interested audience.

As I digest that information and begin testing and using the space (Venndy is still very new and working out bugs), I realize that Venndy is set up for honest reviews and experiences. You can follow your favorite bloggers there, to see what additional products they like or don’t like, stories they love and other story-tellers they follow. Venndy is another place to connect like other social media platforms, but here is how Venndy describes how it is set apart,

Using its proprietary algorithm, VENNDY offers users a multi-layered connectivity system which consolidates the best of stories, items, and people to follow. By focusing on shopping and leisure interests, this creates the ultimate lifestyle hub for finding reliable sources for interactions and inspirations. The story’s builder tool helps users to easily create collections of tips on a certain topic and to further upgrade its impact by opening it to crowd experience additions. This collaboration will keep stories constantly updated with new evergreen insights of first-hand users’ latest observations. We aim to empower the community by intensifying the individual’s contribution; it can serve others and benefit us in return.

The technology behind the algorithm, I am not savvy enough to explain further. Nor have I fully experienced the multi-layered connectivity system, because I literally just joined one week ago (May 20th), but I really look forward to documenting my experience in the lifestyle hub of sources, expanding my reach as a blogger, and ultimately connecting an a more “real” level with others.

VENNDY is a Chrome Extension

This was great news to me because I use Chrome all the time. I watched this video to get a grip on how to use the extension, but overall, I didn’t really need it. I found it super simple to select items and add them to my profile, without over having to open a new tab and go to Venndy.

Here’s one issue I had: While I was working in my email, blog or other platforms like Canva, where I don’t want to use the extension, it was getting in the way.  I found it particularly an issue in Constant Contact, while trying to select, copy and edit email content. I then also found it hard to edit my blog posts and new Instagram book because the extension wanted me to add all the selected text to Venndy. I emailed support, and they helped me resolve it! Here is what they instructed me to do, which fixed things right up, if you find yourself in that position too:

  1. Un-tick the green button next to SELECTED TEXT on the extension’s window. When the green dot is not ticked, then you can not select text using this tool, but you can tick and un-tick it at your wish.

Note, the tutorial does go over this, and I somehow forgot, so please watch it to make sure you get all the details on use!

With summer finally getting here, I went ahead and started sharing all my healthy, fitness-related posts, so here’s what my profile looks like:
