This post probably contains affiliate links, to items I am in love with, and I am confident you will too! For any health advice I give on nutrition and wieghtloss, make sure you check with your doctor, as I am not a health professional. I am just a mama with lots of health and fitness knowledge and experience.

I’ve been pregnant or nursing for over 5 years now. Every time I am pregnant, I do my best to include an organic, prenatal and postnatal protein powder that benefits both me and my baby. Its so important to get enough protein, yet it is often difficult because protein tastes like garbage. I don’t particularly like meat in general, and when I’m pregnant it is even worse. The only protein I like is cheese, and that’s not the best for achieving a belly-only pregnancy.

This is where protein powder comes in!! I talk about this powder for breastfeeding mamas too in another post, because its really great for milk supply as well! Which means that you can keep using it when baby arrives, and it will help with your milk! I have some great, milk boosting smoothie bowl recipes that are so yummy (and pretty!), so save those for later, and let me get into the powder and why I like it. Follow me on Insta for my daily smoothie photos and videos to get more recipe and fitness inspo too!

Ora Organics is a super clean, organic, plant-based protein powder. One of my biggest issues with protein powders is the sweeteners used. A lot of them use sucralose, which I can’t digest. They taste great, but they cause a lot of gas and bloating for me. Ora Organics is sweetened with Stevia, so there are no issues for digestion at all! Let’s take a look at the ingredients, so you understand what you are nourishing your body, and the new baby with:

I love that I don’t see any chemicals on this list. Everything is made from the earth, and something your body can recognize and digest. That’s a big deal, and it makes me happy. The Superfood and Greens blend is particularly great because it has the fruits we don’t always get to eat much of, like pomegranates, but offer lots of nutritional value. That’s totally expensive and not something I want to do, but the protein powder has it taken care of for you! Here’s a video where I talk about more:

What I also like is that there’s a good blend of different kinds of proteins. This allows for more nutrients and vitamins to come in. A blend allows you to consume various, natural foods, rather than purely protein powder every day. It helps from getting overloaded on one food and nutrient.

I am also so very happy with the included digestive enzyme blend in this protein powder. I have personally dealt with IBS and difficulty with digestion. I was able to overcome my IBS with enzymes and probiotics.

I know don’t have to buy the digestive enzymes separately when I need them, they are all in my shake!! Pregnant mamas can really have some gassy, digestive issues because of the hormone changes, and these little enzymes help you digest your food and absorb the nutrients, in addition to helping ELIMINATE GAS AND BLOATING!

This powder is packed with 21g of protein per serving, a complete amino acid profile and two servings of organic greens in every shake, adding crucial macro & micronutrients for proper cognitive and muscle function. So important for mamas building a baby to have the FULL amino acid profile.

It’s also easier to digest than other plant proteins because it has a full spectrum of digestive enzymes to support digestion and bioavailability of nutrients.

I highly recommend this protein powder for prenatal and postnatal nutrition. It is such a fast, simple way to infuse your body with the nutrients it needs to build a baby and properly function. As always, I am not a doctor, just a mom sharing my experience and knowledge, so please take my advice accordingly!

I will be launching a very specialized program for postpartum mamas looking to heal, nourish and regain their strength.I really struggled healing after my first child, and even went through pelvic floor physical therapy for weeks to manage scar tissue that developed from tearing. I have experience studying nutrition, physical therapy and I taught Pilates, so I’ve put together a program I wish I would’ve followed from the beginning.

A program that first heals your body through specialized movements and nourishing foods. Foods are so essential to your body finding the nutrients it needs to put itself back together again. Your postpartum body needs special care in the first 4-6 weeks where you focus on regaining strength and properly fueling your body for breastfeeding.

This program then moves you into gaining physical fitness back. I will never forget the first time I tried to go for a run around 12 weeks postpartum after my first baby. I didn’t do any strength work, so I was literally jelly. I had lost all my extra fat and my previous muscle. So depressing. I was barely able to start gaining it back before I got pregnant and sick again with my second. I’ve learned so much on maintaining muscle postpartum through a unique diet and Pilates routines. I walk you through all of this too!

Lastly, I take you into a fitness and nutrition program to get your body back. This amps up your fitness routine into HIIT workouts, strength workouts and cardio to help you melt off those last pounds. I also walk you through proper food intake to encourage a healthy milk supply, while still burning extra fat as fuel. There is a very fine line to do this, but don’t worry, I’ve done it three times!!

I’m working on my edits to launch this program as soon as possible. I want it to be affordable, so all moms can heal there bodies and skip all the trouble I experienced. I didn’t realize, even with all my knowledge and training, how non-negotiable healing your postpartum body is before working on losing the weight.
