I LOVE a laid back morning, where we stay in our pajamas too long and eat breakfast too late. Waffles are a big hit in our family, and my boys are a in love with the Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Original. You can do anything with this flavor, add all the toppings, or keep it simple with just syrup. I don’t always have the energy on these long, quiet mornings to whip up a batch of home made waffles, so the Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles are a great solution for me. They are the perfect option for a simple, quick breakfast for your family, a nutritious breakfast for the health conscious, or an indulgent savory meal or complex dessert. You can sign up for Ibotta to get cashback too, which makes things even better.
I LOVE planning a waffle brunch for these mornings. Staying in your pajamas and enjoying some yummy breakfast is the best. Using the Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles as a base for the waffle brunch makes it super easy. The most difficult part is gathering all the toppings.
I like to have a variety of fruit as the topping options for the waffles. We of course have to have syrup, because they love syrup, but we also LOVE fruit. Berries, peaches, apples and more all make the waffle bar so simple and easy.
The kids can grab whatever fruit they want and pile it on. We also love bacon, so I make sure there is plenty of that as well.
Perfect Waffle bar Recipe:
Start with two Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles
Slice up your favorite fruit. We use strawberries, kiwi, peaches, blueberries and oranges. Layer the fruit on top of the waffles.
Place a dollop or two of whipped cream
Add a few slices of fruit on top of the whipped cream
Put two slices of bacon in the whipped cream
Drizzle with a little syrup or honey, and it is delicious!!
The other important aspect to planning a summer brunch is making sure you have a table activity that is quiet and fun. My boys LOVE to color, and food gets boring quicker than I’d like, so I have them color at the table as well. They can eat and color all they want because they stay in one place.
The Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles make it so easy for me to throw something fun and yummy together, so I can stay in my pajamas a little longer with the kids. The new thick and fluffy ones really are nice and thick!
Above is the thick and fluffy kind we like, the Kellogg’s® Eggo waffles also come in Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Blueberry Waffles, now with 2X more Blueberry bits, the Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Cinnamon Brown Sugar Waffles, now with 50% more Cinnamon and 15% more Brown Sugar, and the Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Double Chocolatey Waffles, which are super indulgent!
