Breast milk production is so important because as a breastfeeding mama, that’s how your baby is surviving! We worry about the amount they are getting, the nutrients we are providing, and if we are producing enough to keep them full and happy. With my first baby, I researched everything on milk production, and I even started working on my milk supply before my baby arrived. I found so much information, as well as some products that actually work really well, I decided to write the ultimate guide to milk boosters. The one I wish I could’ve read when I was 9 months pregnant and obsessing about breastfeeding. I also WISH I would’ve found this gem of a resource! SO MUCH HELPFUL INFORMATION! I also stumbled upon this guide for pumping, if you are struggling like I did. I hated pumping, and I avoided it at all costs in the beginning.…

I’ve been pregnant or nursing for over 5 years now. Every time I am pregnant, I do my best to include an organic, prenatal and postnatal protein powder that benefits both me and my baby. Its so important to get enough protein, yet it is often difficult because protein tastes like garbage. I don’t particularly like meat in general, and when I’m pregnant it is even worse. The only protein I like is cheese, and that’s not the best for achieving a belly-only pregnancy.  This is where protein powder comes in!! I talk about this powder for breastfeeding mamas too in another post, because its really great for milk supply as well! Which means that you can keep using it when baby arrives, and it will help with your milk! I have some great, milk boosting smoothie bowl recipes that are so yummy (and pretty!), so save those for later,…

As a millennial mama, I am just as concerned about function as I am about style. I am focused on minimalism, quality and aesthetic when it comes to baby items. There are some beautiful companies out there now that are the result of millennials pushing for better quality, better function and overall beautiful design. I mean, as millennials we want nothing but the highest standards! Well, I am so excited I’ve scored the internet to find a full list of these items, created by intentional companies to ease the minds of millennial mamas, while still keeping their gear totally instagram-worthy at all times. Here’s the complete list that you must add to your registry. If you haven’t got your registry started yet, the Amazon Baby Registry is awesome because you can get everything there! Who doesn’t shop on Amazon, and they give you $100 towards diapers and wipes!! Can’t go…

I was so nervous for my first, 6-week postpartum check up, and totally shocked by my experiences that followed my check up. I remember getting ready to go in the room, new baby asleep in the car seat and waiting patiently for my doctor to come in. The experience itself was simple, quick and at-first, such a relief. I was given the “okay” and told everything was healed as it supposed too. I had a small tear during labor, and this was with my first baby, but was told it all healed up nicely. I walked out feeling excited and nervous all at the same time. What I wasn’t told was so much more. I walked out of there feeling happy that I survived my first birth and recovered by 6-weeks like you are “supposed” too. But, there was so much my doctor didn’t tell me, and some utterly painful…

I’ve had to prepare for birth three times now. Each time I learned a bit more about what I need to stock up on, or I don’t want to run out of when I have a newborn. It’s so wonderful to sit at home and just enjoy baby, and NOT have to have anyone run to the store for you. I will never forget one of my last photos being 38 weeks pregnant wondering around Target, throwing all these items in my cart. I save this task for some of the last few weeks of pregnancy because I am bored, and all I can do is waddle around. This particular list is just what mamas need in the first few weeks postpartum, to make sure you are comfortable and happy, and no emergency store visits! Before you get into the list, make sure you sign up for a free trial…

Being pregnant is one of my favorite things ever. Okay, not really at all, and I’ve been pregnant three times now. There is a lot I don’t like about being pregnant including the all-day morning sickness (hello permanent hang over), peeing all the time, leg cramps and sweating are just a few. But, I have found there are some great thins you can do to really have your best pregnancy ever. I learned a lot from my first pregnancy, which helped me get through my second and third pregnancies, where I was super pregnant in the hot summer. Let me go over how I’ve been able to have belly-only, perfect (or almost) pregnancies that really went very smooth. If you are worried about gaining too much weight during pregnancy, I am almost done with my Belly-Only Pregnancy Fitness program! It will have workouts, Diastasis Recti prevention ab-work, pelvic floor pretection…

I’m a full year postpartum now with my third baby, and I find myself reminiscing on my three birthing experiences. The memories that stand out the most are the things that shocked me. The experiences I was totally unprepared for. I read all the birthing books and delivery stories (this one was my favorite!). I envisioned both natural and hospital births. I tried to squat and workout to prepare for a quick labor. I even worked on my milk supply before my first baby arrived. With all that thought and preparation, some things still happened I never expected. I have some great delivery tips over on this post, and here are the 5 things that stand out the most: One: Back Labor I briefly read on back labor in a few stories and books. I didn’t realize the amount of pain that comes with it. Having one labor with back…

I am at the tail end now nursing my third baby, and I started making a list of the five most important pieces of information I’ve learned, to achieve a great milk supply. But if you focus on the right foods and helpful tools, you can really achieve a generous supply that will allow you to have a storage supply and a nice, chubby baby. Here are my 5 insanely great tips on all things lactation and breast milk supply! Increase Milk Supply With Your Food: First, you need to focus on the best foods to eat. I have an insanely popular post, The 5 Best Foods To Pump Up Your Milk Supply and Lose The Baby Weight.…

All opinions are mine alone. #MoreHuggiesMoreSavings #CollectiveBias Crafting the perfect changing station is actually super important. With a new baby, you do a lot of diaper changing. Like a lot. My baby is almost 1 year now, and I am still changing his diaper a lot. With two older toddlers and a baby, it is essential to have everything you need right next to you.
